The Chicago Blackhawks Blind Hockey Team was organized in October 2014 following a “Try Hockey Event” for those that are Blind or Visually Impaired. The program started with 18 players and 15 coaches and has grown to over 40 players wearing the Blackhawk logo. The Chicago Blackhawks was the first NHL team in the Country to step in and support a disabled hockey program for those that are visually impaired and continue to lead the way in growing the sport throughout the Country.

Chicago Blackhawks Blind Hockey is a 501(c)(3) that exists to make hockey available for both female and male players of all ages and skill levels of the blind and visually impaired community.
